Dr Shojei studied medicine in Iran and she worked in the Iran Children’s Hospital for 5 years before moving to Australia with her family.
Dr Fred Edwards

Dermatology and Industrial Medicine. He is an avid beef farmer and has a wonderful herd of Red Angus cattle.
An understanding of Spanish, Italian French, German and Dutch.
Dr Edwards established the first medical practice of Medical & Aged Care Group – Hazelwood Health Centre in Churchill – in 1993. He is firmly committed to educating the next generation of doctors and mentors students through the John Flynn Placement Program (ACRRM).
Dr Tilak Kulatunge

Dr Kulatunge was the third inaugural doctor at Long Street Family Medicine. He worked as an anaesthetist and holds a diploma in Anaesthesia. He has worked in Radiology department as a Senior Medical Officer for more that 5 years and has more than 15 years’ experience in General Practice in Sri Lanka. He joined Long Street in 2012.
He is married with 2 children and is a cricket tragic.
He is currently enrolled in the RACGP training program to sit his Fellowship exams.
Dr Ram Yellappa

Dr Yellappa is an enthusiastic and friendly doctor who has been in medical practice for over 20 years. He completed his Medical degree in India and gained 12 years’ experience in a variety of hospitals in different specialities in Indian and Saudi Arabia. He was a Senior Medical Officer in Orthopaedics, General Surgery and Medicine. He obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Orthopaedic surgery from Rajiv Gandhi University in India and worked in a trauma care team for 5 years. In addition to his hospital work Dr Yellappa worked as a General Practitioner for 8 years.
After immigrating to Australia, Dr Yellappa has continued to pursue his career in General Practice, he has worked as a GP in Melbourne for 2 years before joining the Long Street Family Medicine team.
Outside the medicine Dr Yellappa plays cricket and badminton, he is an avid follower of the Hawthorn football team and enjoys swimming and travelling. He has a beautiful family with three children.
Dr Adenrele Mabo (Shola)

Dr Shola obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree in Nigeria before travelling to the UK where he gained wide experience in Emergency Medicine over a 6 year period. He also obtained a Masters Degree in Medical Informatics. He then moved to Australia 10 years ago and spent 2 years working across the different sites of Eastern Health (Boxhill, Angliss and Maroondah Hospitals) in different departments. He started his GP career 8 years ago, in a busy suburban 24 hour clinic until September 2018.
He has decided to join Long Street Family Medicine team to gain experience in Rural General Practice. He is married to a GP and has two lovely children. His interests outside medicine are traveling, photography, listening to and playing musical instruments and actively volunteering in his local church.
Dr Dishani Ranasinghe

Dr Dishani graduated from her Medical Degree at Colombo University (Sri Lanka) in 1996. She immigrated to Australia with her family in 2011. She passed her Australian Medical Council examination with ease in 2012. Dr Dishani had been practicing medicine for 13 years in Sri Lanka as both a Medical Officer of Anaesthesiology and as a General Practitioner. During her work as a general practitioner she gained the loyalty of her townspeople due to her caring nature, approachability and competence.
Dr Dishani enjoys regular walks and spending time with her family. Due to her love for nature and peaceful living she believes Leongatha will be the ideal location for her to begin her career as a General Practitioner in Australia.
**Dr Dishani is not taking new patients and can be booked by ringing the clinic.
